The CLAN Mission

Catholic Ladies' Adventures in Nature (CLAN) is for Catholic ladies of all ages who desire to experience group nature adventures centered around Faith, friendship, safety, and education.

Why CLAN?

The CLAN organization was inspired by a desire to make a "clan" of friendships with other women who share the same Catholic beliefs and who enjoy adventures in the great outdoors.

Meet the Founder of CLAN

Joanna Luisi Reinhardt grew up in Indianapolis and currently lives in Fishers, Indiana. She holds a Master of Music with a double major in Voice Performance and Music Education from Butler University, and teaches part-time private music lessons. Teaching music and being a mom are her primary focus, but her other passion is being active in nature.

Her outdoor adventures began as a young child with many family outings involving hiking and camping. Joanna's father was a co-founder of the Central Indiana Wilderness Club in Indianapolis, and his influence peaked her eventual interest in backpacking. Although her backpacking experience is limited, she is an avid researcher due to several years of working in libraries, and she is ready to embark on more advanced trips pending her family schedule.

Joanna enjoys spending time with her husband and their son, and their dog. She and her family love going on hikes in Indiana State Parks and adventuring on other Midwest outdoor excursions. When Joanna isn't enjoying God's nature outdoors, she is either singing solo or in choirs, teaching music lessons, listening to music, or enjoying her time as a stay-home-mom and homeschool educator.
